Description
Debts and funeral expenses to be paid speedily. His house and garden held by lease from George Clavell esq deceased in Church Knowle and 1/2 of the carpenter's shop adjoining to his son George for the remainder of term. Second 1/2 of the carpenter's shop to his son Thomas for the remainder of the term: on son Thomas' death the same to grandson Robert (Thomas' son). To son George best bedstead, bedclothes etc; 1/2 his clothes, other 1/2 clothes to son Thomas. To son George and daughters, Mary Spincer (wife of Richard Spincer), Elizabeth Rowlings (wife of John Rowlings the younger) and Jane Hancock (wife of Joseph Hancock) 100 which the testator has in the Wareham Turnpike, equally divided between them. To daughter Mary his second best bed, bedstead and all its bedclothes and furniture. To daughter Elizabeth his other bed etc. To daughter Jane his chest of drawers. All money in his house at his death is to be used to bury him in a decent manner at the executor's discretion plus all his book debts money and securities to his son Thomas. Residue to be equally divided amongst his surviving children. Son Thomas to be executor. Probate 7 Mar 1789.
